On First Day of Strike, Governor Hogan Meets with Longshoremen at Port of Baltimore

Hogan for Maryland today went to the Port of Baltimore to meet with longshoremen on the picket line and express his support for a quick resolution.

“The work of the longshoremen at the Port of Baltimore is critical to the supply chain of our entire nation. After what they went through during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep the port open and in the aftermath of Key Bridge collapse, it’s important these hard working men and women know how much we value everything they do,” Governor Hogan said. “I encourage both sides to come to the table so folks can get back to work quickly and we can keep the country moving.”

Governor Hogan is proud to have the endorsement of Baltimore’s longshoremen, ILA Local 1429 and ILA Local 333.
