Hogan for Maryland held an Asians for Hogan event last night in Montgomery County, where Governor Hogan shook hands with voters and delivered remarks to over 500 supporters at China Garden Han Gong, a local Chinese restaurant.
“This community means so much to Yumi and our entire family. We cannot overstate the significance of the Asian community to our state and how much you add to the fabric of our society,” Governor Hogan said. “I want to especially thank my wife and my better half, Yumi—the chair of Asians for Hogan. I am so proud of her and all that she has accomplished on behalf of our Maryland’s Asian community, and I can’t wait to accomplish even more with her by my side as Maryland’s next United States Senator.”
Governor Hogan spoke about his time in office working with the Asian community in Maryland, from appointing more Asians to state government to establishing Maryland’s first official Koreatown to solidifying the state’s relationships with several different Asian countries through trade missions to solidarity in the face of anti-Asian hate crimes and more.
First Lady Yumi Hogan, Chair of Hogan for Maryland’s Asians for Hogan Coalition, was instrumental in the success of last night’s event.
