Today, Hogan for Maryland released the following statement from Governor Hogan regarding today’s upcoming Senate vote on legislation to protect access to contraception:
“As governor, I made sure access to contraception was never a question.
“In 2016, I was proud to sign legislation making Maryland the first state in the nation to guarantee access to free birth control and provide insurance coverage for over-the-counter contraceptive medications—just as I promised I would when I ran for governor.
“In the Senate, I’ll work in a bipartisan way to continue expanding access and making health care more affordable.”
