Hogan for Maryland Releases Statement in Response to Latest Estimate on Key Bridge Reconstruction

Today, Hogan for Maryland released the following statement from Governor Hogan in response to the latest estimates that reconstruction of the Key Bridge will not be completed till 2028.

“Marylanders cannot afford to wait until 2028 to get the new Francis Scott Key Bridge rebuilt. That is unacceptable. In 2022, as governor, we opened the new Nice-Middleton Bridge—which is similar in size—across the Potomac, under budget and ahead of schedule,” Governor Hogan said. “We have been urging the Biden administration to expedite the environmental and the Endangered Species Act review. In the Senate, we will continue to fight to cut the red tape and get the bridge rebuilt as quickly as possible. We can and must get this done.”
