Hogan For Maryland Makes 25 More Stops On Country Over Party, People Over Politics Tour

As part of the Country Over Party, People Over Politics Tour, Hogan for Maryland made 25 stops across the Eastern Shore, Southern Maryland, and Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties over the last few days.

Within the last week since kicking off the tour in Western Maryland, Hogan for Maryland has now made over 56 stops across 14 counties and Baltimore City on the Country Over Party, People Over Politics Tour.

“Our campaign and this tour are about putting the people and their priorities over politics and its endless cycle of drama and dysfunction,” said Governor Hogan. “I’m willing to put country over party, and I’m asking the voters to do the same.”

Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties. On Friday, Hogan for Maryland began the day at Wye River Upper School in Centreville to tour the facilities and meet with students.


In Easton, Governor Hogan visited the Responsible Fathers Initiative to meet their staff and learn more about their organization’s mission to support fathers, father figures, and families on the Eastern Shore.

Dorchester County. Governor Hogan and the Hogan for Maryland team stopped for lunch at Suicide Bridge Restaurant in Hurlock, where they caught up with local elected officials and Talbot County fire fighters. After lunch, Governor Hogan stopped by Vintage 414 in downtown Cambridge.

Wicomico County. Governor Hogan visited the Boys & Girls Club at Truitt Community Center in Salisbury and toured their new state-of-the-art facility that opened earlier this week.


That visit was followed by a stop at 3rd Friday in downtown Salisbury.

Hogan for Maryland closed out the day with a rally at Perdue Stadium in Salisbury with local elected officials and first responders.

Kent County. On Saturday, Hogan for Maryland began the day in Easton and traveled up to Chestertown to greet residents and small business owners at the farmers market on High Street.

Montgomery County. Next, Hogan for Maryland traveled back over the Bay Bridge to Montgomery County to attend the 42nd Potomac Day, an annual celebration of the community and its small businesses.

Prince George’s County. In College Park, Governor Hogan took part in the tailgate ahead of the University of Maryland’s homecoming football game.

To end the day on Saturday, Governor Hogan attended the Diwali Festival in Lanham to celebrate early with the Prince George’s County Indian community. There, he had the opportunity to pray at the Murugan Temple of North America.  

Charles County. On Sunday, Hogan for Maryland began the day with Charles County Vietnam veterans at VFW Post 8810 in Waldorf. The swing through Southern Maryland continued at Copper Compass Craft Distilling Co. in White Plains to share our message with voters.

St. Mary’s County. Next, Hogan for Maryland shucked oysters and shook hands with visitors and Marylanders at the U.S. Oyster Festival in St. Mary’s County. To conclude the weekend, Governor Hogan and the Hogan for Maryland team stopped at Ruddy Duck Brewery & Grill in Piney Point.

Hogan for Maryland will continue the Country Over Party, People Over Politics Tour with more stops across the state this week.
