Hogan for Maryland Attends Greg’s Ride with Anne Arundel County First Responders

Hogan for Maryland today celebrated the life of Fire Fighter Greg Leonard at “Greg’s Ride” with IAFF Local 1563 Motorcycle Group and Anne Arundel County first responders.

“I was honored to have the opportunity to spend the afternoon with Anne Arundel County firefighters, police officers and retired first responders to honor the life of Greg Leonard and his family. Greg’s legacy of bringing people together speaks to the man he was and how much firefighters like Greg mean to our communities,” Governor Hogan said. “Our firefighters are true heroes who put their lives on the line and run toward the danger. I’m proud to stand with them—today and every day.”

The IAFF Local 1563 Motorcycle Group puts on Greg’s Ride every year in honor of Fire Fighter Greg Leonard, who was diagnosed with ALS in March 2021 and passed away in November 2022. Greg’s wife Abby and local first responders come together every year in his honor to support the Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation.
