Governor Hogan Meets With Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association

Governor Hogan today met with representatives of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) on the challenges facing federal law enforcement members and retirees. FLEOA is the largest nonpartisan, nonprofit professional association, exclusively representing federal law enforcement officers throughout the United States, representing more than 32,000 federal law enforcement officers from over 65 different agencies.

“I appreciate the work that FLEOA does, and I’m glad we took the time today to discuss the critical issues facing law enforcement officers in Maryland and across the country, including recruitment and retention and the need for support from both local and federal leaders,” Governor Hogan said. “As Governor, I was proud to advance our first-in-the-nation Refund the Police initiative, and as Senator I’ll continue to support those who put it all on the line to keep our local communities safe.”

Governor Hogan recently announced his Strong Independent Leadership Tour, which will feature conversations with law enforcement organizations and Maryland officers to seek solutions to the challenges facing the law enforcement community today.
