Over the weekend, Governor Hogan made several stops on the Eastern Shore as Hogan for Maryland continues its Strong Independent Leadership Tour across the state.
Maryland Association of Counties Summer Convention. Governor Hogan stopped by the Maryland Association of Counties Summer Convention at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center, where he walked the convention floor and greeted convention goers.
Ocean City Boardwalk. After stopping by the convention center, Governor Hogan and Hogan for Maryland joined Ocean City Mayor Richard Meehan to walk the Ocean City Boardwalk and greet business owners and visitors from all over the country—and stopped by Thrasher’s!
Poor Girls Open. Governor Hogan and his wife, Yumi, stopped by the Poor Girls Open to say hello to participants and cancer survivors. The Poor Girls Open is an annual ladies only billfish release tournament benefiting breast cancer research.
Wicomico County Fair. Hogan for Maryland started off Saturday by visiting the Wicomico County Fair in Salisbury with local residents, first responders, and students. Governor Hogan and his wife, Yumi, enjoyed watching the watermelon eating contest and checking out the livestock competition.
Bartenfelder Farms. Next, Governor Hogan headed to Caroline County where he spent the afternoon with local farmers and ag leaders at a grassroots event at Bartenfelder Farms in Preston.
Caroline Summerfest. Governor Hogan concluded his weekend swing on the Eastern Shore by walking through the 35th annual Caroline Summerfest in downtown Denton with Mayor Abby McNinch.
