Hogan for Maryland today announced the endorsement of the Maryland Troopers Association (MTA), which represents over 2,500 Maryland troopers and retirees.
“The Maryland Troopers Association is proud to endorse Governor Larry Hogan in his campaign for the United States Senate. For law enforcement, this choice is clear—Governor Hogan’s always had our backs. We are eager to have him fighting for us in Washington,” MTA President Brian Blubaugh said.
“It’s a great honor to receive the endorsement of the Maryland Troopers Association and have the backing of the brave men and women who sacrifice so much to keep our communities safe. Our troopers and their families have always been near and dear to my heart, so this means a great deal to me. Advocating for Maryland’s law enforcement has always been a top priority of mine—I’ll keep fighting for them from the first moment they put on uniform until long after they retire,” Governor Hogan said.
In addition to MTA’s endorsement, Governor Hogan has also received the endorsements of the International Union of Police Associations and the State Law Enforcement Officers Labor Alliance (SLEOLA), which represents a wide array of Maryland law enforcement labor organizations—including the the Maryland State Police, the Natural Resources Police, Office of the State Fire Marshal, the Maryland Capitol Police, the Maryland Department of Health Police, the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Police, the Maryland Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services Intelligence & Investigative Division and the Warrant Apprehension Unit, the Motor Vehicle Administration Police, and the Comptroller’s Office Field Enforcement Agents.
