Hogan for Maryland today announced the endorsements of the Carroll County Professional Fire Fighters & Paramedics Association IAFF Local 5184 and the Public Safety Professionals of Cecil County IAFF Local 4645, adding to the growing list of public safety professionals to back Governor Hogan in his U.S. Senate race.

Karolenko said. “Throughout his tenure as Governor of Maryland, Governor Hogan consistently demonstrated unwavering support for the fire service community. His advocacy for our needs, dedication to enhancing public safety, and commitment to bipartisan collaboration were trusted by our members. His leadership has significantly contributed to the betterment of our communities and the State of Maryland.”

The Public Safety Professionals of Cecil County are fully behind Governor Hogan in his Senate campaign,” IAFF Local 4645 President Colin Shaw said. “We have no doubt Governor Hogan will be a Senator who represents all Marylanders and continues advocating for our needs and the needs of Cecil County in Washington. He’s earned our support.”

Governor Hogan was also endorsed by the Ocean City Career Firefighter Paramedics Association IAFF Local 4269 and the Worcester County Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 4916, as well as several law enforcement organizations across the state, including the Maryland Troopers Association and sheriffs from 14 counties.
In addition, Governor Hogan has received the endorsement of the International Union of Police Associations and the State Law Enforcement Officers Labor Alliance (SLEOLA), which represents a wide array of Maryland law enforcement labor organizations—including the the Maryland State Police, the Natural Resources Police, Office of the State Fire Marshal, the Maryland Capitol Police, the Maryland Department of Health Police, the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Police, the Maryland Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services Intelligence & Investigative Division and the Warrant Apprehension Unit, the Motor Vehicle Administration Police, and the Comptroller’s Office Field Enforcement Agents.
