Hogan for Maryland released the following statement from Governor Hogan praising the Biden-Harris administration’s announcement that it will propose expanding coverage of affordable contraception under the Affordable Care Act:
“In 2016, I was proud to sign landmark legislation making Maryland the first state to guarantee free birth control and provide insurance coverage for over-the-counter contraceptive medications.
“I applaud President Biden and his administration for taking this important step to expand access to birth control for millions of women nationwide.
“In the Senate, I will work across party lines to build on this critical progress and ensure that affordable, accessible health care remains a top priority.”
