“It was great to visit Paint Branch Elementary in Prince George’s County to spend time with students, answer their questions, drop off school supplies and wish them a great start to the school year,” Governor Hogan said. “I loved hearing thoughtful questions from some of Prince George’s rising stars. Maryland’s future is brighter than ever with these young innovators, artists and leaders at the helm.”

While visiting Archbishop Borders School in Highlandtown earlier this summer, Governor Hogan released the education priorities he’ll focus on as a United States Senator, which include:

  • Advocating for greater funding with real accountability, results, and choice.
  • Working across the aisle to advance innovative ideas that create new pathways for success for every child.
  • Expanding flexibility for 529 accounts.
  • Fighting for tax credits, educational scholarship accounts, and charter schools to further empower parents and students.
