Following the announcement of Hogan For Maryland’s Small Business Relief Plan at Marlin Steel in Baltimore and several small business visits yesterday, Governor Hogan toured more local businesses in Prince George’s County and Howard County and shared his optimistic vision for Maryland’s future at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
“As I travel the state, Marylanders from all walks of life have shared with me how concerned they are about the economy and how they’ll make ends meet. Inflation hits small businesses especially hard,” Governor Hogan said. “That’s why my Small Business Relief Plan reduces the tax burden on our Main Street businesses, cuts unnecessary red tape, and provides stability for the businesses that contribute so much to our communities and our way of life here in Maryland.”
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Governor Hogan kicked off the day by joining the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to discuss some of his priorities as Maryland’s next Senator–including tax relief, expanding workforce development, cutting excessive regulations, and fostering bipartisan cooperation.
Centro De Habla Hispana. Next, Hogan for Maryland met with the Prince George’s County Hispanic community in Hyattsville at Centro de Habla Hispana, an organization that provides critical translation and financial services to local businesses.
El Carbonero Restaurant. Governor Hogan sat down with representatives of several Hispanic-owned businesses to hear about the unique challenges their community is facing in Prince George’s County, including economic hardship and rising crime rates.
Rathskeller. Governor Hogan headed to Rathskeller in Elkridge for lunch with Lieutenant Governor Boyd Rutherford where they enjoyed some German cuisine and good conversation.
